2. Eligibility: Participation in the Contest is open only to legal residents of the United States and District of Columbia (excluding Puerto Rico, the U.S. Virgin Islands, U.S. Military installations in foreign countries, and where prohibited by law) who are eighteen (18) years or older at time of entry. Employees, officers & directors of Sponsor, its franchises or licensees, their respective parent companies, subsidiaries, affiliates, advertising and promotion agencies and the immediate families or members of the same household of such employees/officers/directors are not eligible to enter. Contest is void in Puerto Rico, the U.S. Virgin Islands, U.S. Military installations in foreign countries, and where prohibited by law.

3. Contest Dates: Contest Dates begin at Contest Start Date and ends at Contest End Date as described in Section 1 above.

4. Contest Prize & Grand Prize:

4.1 Prize. All participants/entrants in the Challenge who complete the Challenge (i.e. reach 11 thousand feet of vertical elevation during the Contest Dates) will receive the Prize. Prize will be mailed to Prize Winners at the address provided in their Entry.

4.2 Grand Prize. The Grand Prize Winner(s) will receive the Grand Prize as described in Section 1 above. Twelve (12) pairs of HOKA footwear will be provided to Grand Prize Winner(s) in the form of twelve (12) codes that will be redeemable at HOKA.com. Each code will be redeemable for footwear only and will have a maximum

value of $250. Codes will expire twelve (12) months after receipt. Regarding UTMB Race entry – Winner(s) will let HOKA know via email which UTMB Race they select to participate in and HOKA will register Winner(s) for their selected race. Race registration does not include travel or any other race related expenses.

Any difference between approximate retail value and actual retail value will not be awarded. No prize transfer, assignment, or substitution by Winner permitted. Sponsor reserves the right to substitute prize in which case a prize of equal or greater value will be awarded. Winner is responsible for any and all local, state and/or federal taxes, as well as any other costs and expenses not specified herein as being awarded. Winner is responsible for obtaining travel and health insurance (and all other forms of insurance) at their option and hereby acknowledge that Sponsor has not and will not obtain or provide travel insurance, health insurance, or any other form of insurance covering Winner.

5. How to Enter: To participate in this Contest, you must have a valid, public Strava account. Only publicly viewable Strava accounts will be considered valid entries. “Activity” must be set to “Run” in order for efforts to be counted towards this challenge. To enter the Contest you must go to https://strava.app.link/hoka-be-the-goat-challenge-vert and fill out the entry form (“Entry”). Entry requires: first name, last name, email address, and mailing address. Limit a maximum of one (1) entry per person.

6. Winner Selection/Judging:

6.1 Prize Winners: All participants who complete the Challenge (i.e. reach 11 thousand feet of vertical elevation during the Contest Dates) will win the Prize as set forth in Section 1 above.

6.2 Grand Prize Winner(s): Grand Prize Winner(s) will be chosen by August 17, 2024. To be eligible the Entry must comply with the requirements in Sections 5 of these Official Rules. Grand Prize Winner(s) will be chosen by selecting one (1) male with the highest elevation gain as shown on the leader board for the Challenge and one (1) female with the highest elevation gain as shown on the leader board for the Challenge. By participating, entrants agree to the Official Rules and the decisions of the Sponsor, which shall be final and binding in all respects. Sponsor reserves the right not to award the Prize if they determine that no Entry qualifies.

7. Grand Prize Notification: Grand Prize Winner(s) will be notified via direct message in Strava from HOKA’s official Strava account to potential Grand Prize Winner(s) Strava account used for Entry. If unable to make contact with the potential Grand Prize winner within forty-eight (48) hours after Sponsor first attempts to notify the potential winner, Sponsor will select a backup winner as the entrant with the next highest elevation gain. Likewise, if the original potential winner is ineligible or fails to return the signed W-9, Affidavit of Eligibility and Publicity/Liability Releases within forty-eight (48) hours, or in the event of non-compliance with any other requirements of this Contest, the potential winner shall forfeit the prize in its entirety, and Sponsor shall award the prize to an alternate winner selected in accordance with the above.

8. Redemption and Verification: To redeem the Grand Prize, the potential winners must respond within seventy two (72) hours of prize notification. The potential winners will be required to sign and return via email within five (5) business days of receipt of documents an Affidavit of Eligibility and Liability Waiver for injuries and Image Permission granting Sponsor rights to use winners’ name, imagine and likeness. Failure to comply will result in the forfeit of the prize and the selection of a substitute winner from remaining eligible entries. All prize claims are subject to verification and compliance with the Official Rules.

9. Limitation on Liability and Release: Sponsor assumes no responsibility for any error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, or delay in operation or transmission; communications line failure; theft or destruction of or unauthorized access to contest entries; or alteration of entries. Sponsor is not responsible for any problems with or technical malfunction of any telephone network or lines, computer online systems, servers or providers, computer equipment, software, failure of any e-mail or mailed-in entry to be received on account of technical problems or traffic congestion on the Internet or at any web site, or any combination thereof, including any injury or damage to participants' or any other persons' computers related to or resulting from participation or downloading any materials in this contest.

CAUTION: ANY ATTEMPT BY ANY PERSON TO DELIBERATELY DAMAGE ANY WEB SITE OR UNDERMINE LEGITIMATE OPERATION OF THE CONTEST IS A VIOLATION OF CRIMINAL AND CIVIL LAWS. SHOULD SUCH AN ATTEMPT BE MADE, SPONSOR RESERVES THE RIGHT TO SEEK DAMAGES FROM ANY SUCH PERSON TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW.

Participant agree to release, discharge and hold harmless Sponsor, Instagram, their partners, affiliates, subsidiaries, advertising agencies, agents and their employees, officers, directors, and representatives from any and all liability for claims, losses, injuries, including death, and damages arising out of their participation in this contest or any contest-related activities and the acceptance and use, misuse, or possession of any prize awarded hereunder.

10. Conditions: By entering this Contest, entrants agree to release, discharge, indemnify, defend and hold harmless Sponsor and its partners, affiliates, subsidiaries, advertising agencies, agents and their employees, officers, directors, and representatives from any and all liability, claims, or actions of any kind whatsoever sustained in connection with participating in any aspect of the Contest, breach of any representation or warranty, the receipt, ownership or use of prize awarded or any typographical or other error in these Official Rules or the announcement of offering of the prize. Participants also agree (a) to be bound by these Official Rules; (b) that the decisions of Sponsor are final on all matters relating to the Contest; and (c) if he/she wins, to the use for advertising and promotional purposes any information submitted in the Image Application, including the photograph, without compensation (except where prohibited by law) and upon request, to provide consent to such use in writing.

All federal, state and local taxes, fees and surcharges on prize are the sole responsibility of the winner. If a winner declines the prize or is unavailable for prize fulfillment, an alternate winner will be selected at random from all remaining eligible entries.

11. Email/Data Protection Notice: If you submit an email address to enter this Contest, entrants agree to receive communications with information or carefully selected commercial opportunities from Sponsor or its subsidiaries or agents on their behalf. Sponsor will hold any personal details it is entitled to hold on its own or a duly authorized agent’s database for the purposes of optimizing its commercial offering to consumers, actual or potential. Any individual (or duly authorized person) may elect to exclude the name and email address of that individual from all lists used by Sponsor by submitting a removal request in writing to Sponsor at Sponsor’s Mailing Address above or by clicking “unsubscribe” in any communications. PLEASE VISIT SPONSOR’S PRIVACY POLICY ON THE WEBSITE LISTED IN SECTION 1 ABOVE.

12. Winners List or a copy of the Official Rules: To obtain name of Prize Winners or a copy of the Official Rules, send a self-addressed, stamped envelope after the Contest End Date to the “Sponsor Mailing Address” as described in Section 1 above, attention: “HOKA Be the GOAT Challenge: VERTICAL Strava Contest”.

13. Governing Law/Binding Arbitration: This Contest is governed by the laws of the State of California USA. The parties waive all rights to trial in any action or proceeding and any claim shall be settled by binding arbitration in accordance with the commercial arbitration rules of the American Arbitration Association in the State of California in the city of Santa Barbara. Any judgment on the arbitration award may be entered into any court having jurisdiction thereof.

14. Additional Terms: Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to cancel, terminate, modify, or suspend this Contest for any reason. Sponsor reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to disqualify any individual it finds, in its sole discretion, to be tampering with the entry process or the operation of the Contests or Sponsor’s website. Sponsor reserves the right to prosecute any fraudulent activities to the full extent of the law.
